BEING OVERWEIGHT/OBESE CAUSES MEDICAL/SOCIAL DESTRUCTION

Preventive medicine is the essential component in the fight against obesity. Appetite suppressants have been used for more than 40 years to deter weight gain. They are safe and effective in helping patients learn not to eat just because they feel hungry. Thus, appetite suppressants become a mechanism by which the patient does not want as much to eat. Phentermine and its derivatives have in the past been the only preventive treatment offered by medicine to assist in weight loss. Government agencies continue to classify this low risk medication as a controlled substance. Many physicians are reluctant to use the appetite suppressants to help patients lose weight because of this classification by the DEA.

HCG is Human Chorionic Gonadotropin that has been studied and tested by Dr. Simeons for more than 40 years. His Protocol is published on my website: www.extremewellnessclinic.com. Take a few minutes to read about this effective weight loss program. Dr. Simeons conducted his clinical studies in Europe. There are examples of what some patients have been able to achieve in my HCG weight loss program. There are before and after photos as well as Measurement Tables showing INCHES AND POUNDS LOST over a particular period of time.

There is no guarantee how much or how quickly weight loss will be achieved by any individual on the HCG program. One of the important and vital aspects of HCG weight loss is the patient learns about portions and types of foods that are nutritious for them. I am the coach for these weight loss patients. I incorporate exercise and maintenance instruction along with the nutrition and HCG combination. As the patient's physician, I analyze each individual's vitamin and supplement needs. As most of us are aware, there is an epidemic of obesity in the United States currently.

Early in this Century, by scientific study results, Americans consumed an estimated 10 lbs/individual/year of sugar. Now, Americans consume an estimated 200 lbs of sugar/ person/year.

Obesity is not only a threat to a person's total body health but there are social implications. I hope you will read the articles included here in my blog regarding the workplace and the obese/overweight employee "Obesity Raises Red Flag For Employers" by Anita Buzzese.

Most Americans realize that Smoking Tobacco kills Americans prematurely and causes serious diseases such as cancer and heart disease. The 2nd article "Obesity May Wipe Out Benefit of Anti-smoking Effort, Study Says" by David Olmos included in this Blog regards recent scientific findings that obesity has overcome tobacco in terms of causing more destruction to the human body's health. (Both of These Articles Appeared In The Salt Lake Tribune in November, 2009).

I am a physician and surgeon who recognized the impending threat of obesity to the health of Americans more than 20 years ago. I have studied the literature and results of various University and Government clinical studies in order to devise a comprehensive program to help patients lose weight. Preventive Medicine is crucial in the future of health care reform and I want to be at the forefront to help as many patients as I am able to not only lose weight but build a strong personal program for themselves. Once this happens, each patient is able to help his/her family do the same.
